In Plano, Texas, the high school system is split between "high schools" (9th and 10th grade) and "senior high schools" (11th and 12 grade). When I went through the high school band programs, marching band members were only eligible to become drum majors in 10th grade, 11th grade, and/or 12th grade. As you'll see below, I completed the trifecta; I was a drum major at Clark High School (1oth grade), as well as Plano East Senior High School (11th grade, 12th grade).
